Two Birds, One Stone
February 2025 marks the end of the Tesco Community award period and when an end of period online report is required in order to release the final 25% retention sum (£250). There is the opportunity to submit a link to a video about the Shed to Tesco/Groundworks with the report.
It is also just when Norton Men’s Shed needs to prepare materials for an AGM.
So why not kill two birds with the one stone? [No actual birds were harmed, OK?]
We decided to make it an informative video contribution by trying to get over what is really at the heart of a Men’s Shed, or at least our Shed.
We drew on the array of photos in our archives and sewed them together in a video of a
PowerPoint Show with a talking head narration by Shedder Martin who has a kind of
Mid North, Mid South tone of voice.
We have Geordies and Cockneys in our Shed and communication can be difficult! 🙂
