The back has been broken on the task of renovating the room to house Gordon and to undertake the digital inclusion projects planned.
Same thing is being done in Whitby.
Well, the “IT”/ chat room has shaped up. External window shutters fixed. New back door installed. Room ceiling plasterboard repaired and insulated, ceiling /walls/floor painted. Many hands made light work over the past month. Jacko, Peter, Chris, Brian and Graham.

Some snagging needed (Dennis says it will make a change to nagging!!).
We have started to purchase some of the digital equipment items and they will be installed and commissioned next week. Ready for the IT work to commence in early September.
There are some pieces of ceiling elsewhere needing to be fixed and decorated. The two Peters enjoy the paintbrush and the work on the premises will continue but maybe at a more leisurely pace.
Christening the new Chat/IT Room
The room pictured above was furnished first thing this morning with table and chairs and used for a 9.30am Zoom call with the Ballinger Charitable Trust. Present were Paul, Gordon and Graham online to Andrew and John. We explained how the Shed had developed further over the past 3 years and Andrew was particularly interested in the new activities/interests catered for. The request we had made was for work with the housebound in hybrid meetings. Paralleling the work in Whitby Town Shed.

Rock-a-Bye Baby Cradle
Jacko is a big softy and he has a grandchild on the way. He is upcycling a cradle for the baby and has Peter on the job with him.
Wonder whether the baby will be delivered before the cradle?
