Miscellany

This prize winning stallion has been reported stolen recently.

The 16-year-old stallion Zazou, winner of the Group 1 Premio Roma and second in the Deutsches Derby, was stolen from his stable at Darhorse Stud on Friday night. The case is being investigated by the Czech police.

Norton Men’s Shed denies that the horse they have is the stolen horse. See what you think by STUDying the horse we have stabled recently.

Spot the difference.

Having made the horse for Norton Sports Charity we are to start on a dog

In fact a Labrador which was one of the breeds used in WW1. We will start with the head as we did with the horse and craft it (Cruft it?) from there.

Growing in number

We have had some new Shedders join us recently, in our banter. You’ll start to see them in the photos. Different personalities, interests, skills, different sexes but getting the same sense of purpose by belonging to it.

Here is Kevin, who formerly served in the household cavalry. He came just when we needed knowledge of how to mount the eyes in a horse and arrange the mane.

Hard to see but the forelock is in place now.

A Big Get Together of Partnerships in Stockton. . . .

. . . . was attended by Railway Dave,  Pat and Graham on Tuesday afternoon.  It was an opportunity to share with other organisations and particularly the Council what the Shed is really about. We’ll share more on this later.

Colin makes a colourful statement on the lathe.
